The transition to LED lights

Various countries and governments are making a concerted effort, the transition to led street light, improve energy efficiency and reduce their carbon footprint. Australia has made a long-term plan to improve energy standards, restrictions on the use of incandescent light bulbs from 2009 onwards. Try not fully transition to LED lights at this stage, but to switch to fluorescent lamps and LED lamps. Shift that the country will be able to reduce emissions by about 80 million tons within three years from 2009.
Another feature of these LED bulbs is that they have the ability to operate more than 30,000 hours, sometimes even more than this. This bulb life than incandescent bulbs, more than 30 times, and therefore require less replacement to save a substantial amount of cash.
Venezuela and Cuba also plans to gradually transition from incandescent to LED lights one of the countries. New Jersey planning a phased removal of incandescent, from government buildings. A similar plan is in the anvil in California plan to stop using incandescent.
Even with the high price of filament led street lights , their advantages are many. One common complain about compact fluorescents is the ramp-up time to full brightness. Even instant-on CFLs have a ramp-up time; they start at a relatively low lumen count and then steadily get brighter until they've reached maximum lumens.
